I can't believe in just less than one week I will be writing up about our first every Under 5's Demo Day!
I'm a total mix of emotions right now, feeling sick and very stressed mainly xxx I'm so nervous, what started out as a bit of a pipe dream about running a couple of my sessions and possibly having the odd stall for people to view has become a full event with several stallholders and several activity providers all showcasing their amazing products.
I'm so pleased with the stallholders we have managed to arrange attending the event and feel like we are showcasing amazing quality and fantastic local activities to join in.
We've got everything from a local clothes maker and a local traditional toyshop (Both of these stalls I hold no responsibility for you spending too much at :-) )
We've got some fab activities for the children to join in, including myself, makaton and two versions of Zumba!
There's also some local venues having stands, two of which I visit regularly with Alice. Firstly Pendragon, if you haven't been to Pendragon it is definitely worth a visit, it's an amazing little softplay which caters for special needs children and adults but also is open to mainstream children during the week. Booking is essential but it's such a calm little place to go to for a change, especially if you've just got a baby or a crawler. There's a big ball pool, water bed, interactive flooring, throughout it is fully padded, walls and floors so super safe for little ones.
Also joining us is Northdale, which are a local garden centre which offer education for 18+ with special needs. They do sell plants though and have a little gift shop which sells various handmade products. They also, and this is the bit me and Alice visit in the summer, have a gorgeous little playarea and woodland trail. It's perfect just to visit for an hour.
Anyway if your not already coming and you can make it then please pop along on Sunday 19th March, 10am till 2pm at Romanby WI Hall.
If you really can't make it, then get Hurworth Grange pencilled in your diary, this venue is double the size of Northallerton and I'm not giving much away yet but tickets are on sale now for just £7 until the end of March!
