Welcome to March. I'm feeling in the party mood today as it's my daughters birthday tomorrow so looking forward to celebrating and a nice relaxed day. If your wondering what to get up to over the weekend why don't you join me at our Mini's Showcase event.
The Mini's Showcase this month is to be held at Richmond School, Darlington Road, Richmond.
It starts at 10am and finishes at 2pm. That's 4 hours of entertainment for you little ones.
We got some amazing activities for you to join in with once your in, remember your ticket entry covers all the following activities: Sunshine Sensory Session, Makaton session, Lingotots Session, Softplay, Forest School Activities, Curiositieas play area AND a dedicated baby area for the under 12months.
Siblings 6 years and over also go free.

So what else is happening in March? Well we continue with our Spring 2 term and it's lovely sharing everything with yourselves. At the end of the term we will be reading our brand new book, exclusive to Sunshine Sensory. Hurray it's Springtime. In the book we will be looking at all the different things that happen in Spring. I'd love to hear what you have planned for Spring and in the run up to Easter.
We will be continuing our song of the term which this time is 1,2,3,4,5. Once I caught a fish alive. This is a great song to encourage children to count upwards in order all the way to ten. You can reinforce that each number corresponds to the amount by demonstrating putting 1 finger up when we say the number 1, 2 fingers when we say the number 2, etc. This helps children to understand not just the number names but the concept of names corresponding to amounts. There's also some great actions.
On 21st March we will be holding a special taster day at Barton Village Hall, 10am. Again we are collaborating with the amazing Yorkshire Rose Events, who will be holding playgroup from 10am - 12. The cost to join in both will be just £6 per child / £3 per sibling. That's 2 hours worth of entertainment starting at just £6. Every week Yorkshire Rose Events will have a different theme (messy play, soft play, role play) for you to explore with your little one.

We are also excited to be joining another new Venue, Crazy Kingdom at Northallerton on a Tuesday afternoon! These sessions will also include FREE SOFTPLAY ENTRY either before or after class.
This is a great time of year to make your own crispy cakes with little ones. Even babies can get involved by having rice crispy or coco pop messy play.
Bookings for next term will open on Monday 18th March.
